Teen/Adult Recreational Classes

Our Teen and Adult programming offers a wide variety of dance classes for all levels in! Looking to get fit? Learn a new style of dance? Or simply just have fun? These classes may be for you! 


Teen/Adult Ballet

Designed for: Teens and Adults
Class length: 60 minutes
Class description: This is a beginner Ballet class for dancers wanting to learn the basic techniques of Ballet. Dancers will study the body positions, awareness and alignment. Dancers will work to improve posture and flexibility. They will concentrate on pointing their feet, strengthening ankles, understanding and increasing turn out, using their plie”, learning to stretch fully through through their extensions will keeping their joints supported etc.

Adult Jazz

Designed for: Adults
Class length: 60 minutes
Class description: For beginners and trained adults, this class will focus on across the floor progression and movements that will infuse contemporary an some hip hop movement with Jazz. This class will incorporate isolations of the body as well as leaps and turns. 

Adult Tap

Designed for: Adults
Class length: 60 minutes
Class description: Some experience is recommended for this class, but we always welcome beginners! While developing a strong sense of rhythm, students work toward the control of weight distribution in the foot along with a pleasing style in the arms, head and torso. Much of this class will focus on the Broadway style of Tap dancing!


Adult Hip Hop

Designed for: Adults
Class length: 60 minutes
Class description: For beginners and trained adults, this class will be a fun, energetic, and great way to either take for a fitness or simply the enjoyment of Hip Hop! This class will incorporate new choreography each week to Today's Top Hits and all different styles of Hip Hop music! You will build endurance, strength and confidence each class!



Designed for: Teens and Adults, younger students welcome with instructor permission
Class length: 60 minutes
Class description: Bollywood dance is bold, dramatic and fun. The music is high-energy and participants are encouraged to smile, express themselves and unleash the movie star within! Inspired by the musical films of India, this class is a dynamic blend of East and West, incorporating movements and influences as diverse as classical Indian dance, Bhangra and other South Asian folk dance traditions, jazz, hip-hop, Afro-Caribbean, and Middle Eastern dance. Following an energetic full-body warmup, students will explore keyelements of the style including foot rhythms, hand gestures (mudras), and
expressive movement. Putting these pieces together, participants will learn a dance sequence adapted from a Bollywood film.

Class length: 60 minutes
Class description: BollyX is a Bollywood-inspired dance-fitness program that combines dynamic choreography with the hottest music from around the world. Its 50-minute cardio workout cycles between higher and lower-intensity dance sequences to get you moving, sweating, and smiling. At the very core of a BollyX workout is the inspiration it draws from the music and dance of Bollywood, the film industry of India. BollyX embodies the infectious energy, expression and movement of Bollywood and aims to expand the reach of fitness to more people worldwide. The BollyX curriculum has been created by world-class choreographers and certified fitness professionals to ensure a safe and effective total body dance workout. Be sure to bring a pair of clean sneakers and a water bottle.


Adult Yoga

Designed for: Adults
Class length: 60 minutes
Class description: This beginner Adult Yoga class is for the inner yogi in all of us! This class will introduce beginner postures and a focus on breath and incorporating it into each Yoga stretch and movement. This class is specifically designed to run as a Gentle or Restorative yoga class with 15 minutes of Shavasana at the end of each class.
